I am Unique. I am Special. I just plain don’t care to find out why I am so.
I am a creature of two names. Joseph and Woon Keong. But all the same I am 1.69+ Metres tall, I love Sports (Soccer, Basket Ball, Cycling and Ice Skating) , Computer Games (Mostly FPS), Reading, Fine Food, Music (Classical, Rock, Alternative, etc) and Teddy Bears (Is It Blatant Enough?)
It’s common to want to be special. The Difference is how far you get before you give up. For me, I won’t be giving up till the end. Because I know, it’s the special people that live everyday knowing it could be that day to make or break ’em.
Or I could just have a simple tag line. something like maybe……..
“Kill all sons of bitches, that’s my official instructions”
But I guess I’ll go with the more wordy one for now. Haha. Did I mention that I LOVE cookies?
You may or may not have noticed that the pages on this blog were oddly familiar. And why yes, yes they are. These three pages (at the time of writing) were purposely named after some of the 7 Deadly Sins found somewhere directly/indirectly in the Bible (I seem to recall it was some old translation of the Bible) . No, it is not because I advocate for everyone to do go in the wrong direction and commit all this stuff. The Real Purpose then you ask? For me, I choose these titles for my pages is to highlight the imperfection that I am. I am wrath, pride and sloth. okay maybe sometimes gluttony, greed and lust. But those are another story. =P
Man. Man is nothing without direction. Without his compass, man is truly lost.
So, a little bit more detail about me.
I’m a Singaporean and am Thai-Chinese apparently with roots in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, China and some other places. I was born on the 25th of August when it was raining (some interesting stuff you should find about about yourself as well!). I’m currently awaiting for my O level results (no prizes for guessing my age then). I play a lot of computer games (see the widget in the sidebar to see what I’m playing) especially during the holiday season. During Term time, I mostly play sports such as Soccer and Badminton cos I see my friends more often then. For Sports, I am an Arsenal and Real Madrid Fan, but I’m more into the English Premier League than the La Liga (Though I dont watch the EPL anymore thanks to Singtel).
I am not really a fan of Japanese Animations, aka Anime. But I still do watch some of the well known ones such as Death Note and a little bit of Bleach. I also watch those American cartoons (e.g. Spiderman, The avengers, Batman), Korean Dramas (only if my Mum is watching) and Chinese Variety Shows. You could say I’m multicultural ;D
I’ve been introduced to music since I was small. I started with the Piano and the recorder (sort of =P ) and then moved on to the guitar. I’m currently not learning any instrument but considering going for an Electric Guitar course. I own an acoustic/classical guitar and 2 Electric Guitars (one Timbre and one Ashbury). As for food, I love to eat steak at Jack’s Place and other kinds of expensive restaurants (fine dining is awesome) as well as Honey Roast Chicken and Subway. Similarly, I prefer expensive brands (dont have much of them though) as I feel they are worth the price tag (hence I try to balance price and quality)
I am currently not attached as I would like to be. Love is a hard game to play and you better be ready to play hard or lose hard. And for all I’ve tried, I’ve lost more than I won. Darn! D:
That’s all about me that you would wanna know. Anymore and you’ll be my friend the next day. haha 😀
Contact Me at Hydro_hero@Hotmail.com for informal discussions or Josephliu258@gmail.com for formal discussions (if you have serious business, not for chatting!). Feel free to add me on Facebook if you like but please state who you are and how you know me (if your name doesnt ring a bell). Thanks! ;D
My Accomplishments (okay, it’s more of the story but still….)
Before we start, please hear me out, I hate the limelight for I am a person of such a shy nature. The reason I talk about it is because I want my team or rather Ex-team mates to feel appreciated. Perhaps many of you staring at this section will be bewildered by this. It’s okay, I don’t blame you. But trust me, there is no ‘ I ‘ in ‘ Team ‘. So here we go with number 1…….hmm actually I dont do that stuff anymore. I rather not list these stuff out. Why? Cause frankly I’m lazy and it would serve to expand my ego if I do. So I’ll be quite vague (sorry about that!)
Oh, almost forgot. I know very well that some reading this might have a thousand more achievements than I will possibly obtain. But seriously. You are you. and I am myself. Thanks! 😀
Me. PSLE was over for me and my family (indirectly hoped for actually) and I were hoping for an excellent result. Perhaps I could go to one of the Saint Something schools or maybe ACSI? The crown jewel would be getting to RI. But then, bam! I was stranded with a mere score of 217. Yes. 217 is not something people can be proud of. But I guess it’s not too bad of a score. But that also meant that I could not get posted to any of those prestigious schools I so wanted to go for (hmm. Greed, Envy, Pride). I would be posted to WRSS in due course. But for all the stuff you can be unhappy about concerning the school, I have to say, I love that school and will miss it dearly as the sands of time flow.
In Primary school, I was a boy scout. yup. Those guys running around tying knots, camping, cooking instant noodles and raising the flag every morning. I was sorta of a the guy my seniors picked on when I first joined. Can you imagine? A clueless pint sized Primary 3 boy getting shouted at, teased and left out by the older boys on his first day the first moment he just met them? But I soon found friends in the form of same age comrades. and as they say, the rest is history. I became one of the longest serving member (P3 to P6, most start at P4) and a group captain.
It was a time I cannot forget. The fun we had as boys.
In Secondary school, I joined Robotics (career switch apparently) and was put into the LEGO group as per my choice. Then I got shifted to the VEX group after a while along with the other new recruits for the LEGO group (essentially wiping out the entire batch of Secondary One Students for LEGO) . Guess this phase has been the most troubling yet rewarding phase of my life. Training was hard and tough. Let that be the known as the truth. The truth that robotics students don’t get medals and trophies easy. We are essentially trained to be mentally prepared. Because as we all know, they may break my body but they will never break my will. We won several Singapore VEX championships, Asia-Pacific VEX championships and several smaller scale competitions such as the DSTA–DSO competitions held at VJC and the Clean and Green Challenge at SP.
At the same time, I managed to get into the Student Council (which was kinda my dream since primary school) and my academics was pretty good and I received some Edusave scholarships. 1,2,3, you’re having a good time
Check these videos out. Made em for the school. I’m not blessed with the money needed to buy expensive video software so pardon me if you think it’s of low quality. >_<
Gosh. It seems rather vague till I can’t see any accomplishments in this pile of text. If you could spot em, you’re awesome ;D
The end is not always the end. My journey has not come to pass. And I will be continuing to write about the adventures of ME, staring Me and you. Cheers mates! 😀
